Review:
This has two of my new favorite things in books recently
bikers and shifters which makes for one very HOT read.
There is a rival pack of wolves trying to move in on Mercy
Falls and the VP of the Mercy club/pack is sent to check it out by his Alpha Vince.
Lucas takes two other guys with him to check out a problem that the Chief called
them about. While dealing with this issue Lucas hears a girl scream and shifts
to check it out. Once there he sees a man and woman fighting in a car. The man
shots at Lucas and speeds off leaving the woman Leah there. Lucas runs off into
the woods to shift back and yells for her to wait for a guy on a bike to come
and help.
Lucas and Leah have instant chemistry that is hot but they
often get interrupted. But once they get together it is well worth the wait.
Even though I love both characters Leah is my favorite. She doesn’t freak out
when she finds out Lucas is a shifter she just accepts it and that was so
refreshing to see. Not to mention she accepts the violence that surrounds the
shifters. She is just a great heroine and a good match for Lucas. All in all
this is a great start to a new series and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Spending time with Lucas Trowwer has left me with a lot of
burning questions to ask him. One of the biggest qustions I've wondered (and
received from fans) is what Lucas thought when he first saw Leah...
I've had the chance to get Lucas to answer this question...
Ana: Lucas, tell the readers your thoughs on Leah. From the
moment you saw her...
Lucas: (grinning with a bottle of beer in his hand and a
dark look in his eyes) - Don't forget, Ana (and readers), that I didn't first
see Leah... I heard her. Her shrill scream went thorugh my body and two
thoughts came to my mind. The first was to see what was causing a woman to
scream... espeically where we were at the time. The second was my wild mind
wondering if she was screaming out of pleasure. And if so, how can I make her
scream louder?
Me and the guys in Full Moon Mercy were knee deep in a
situation involving a rival pack of wolves but I had to help her. When the
scream came again, I took off. I shifted into a wolf and ran that way beacuse
it's easier and faster. I'm glad I did that too because when I found Leah, she
was scrambling to climb out of the window of a car. The guy in the car had a
gun and looked ready to kill her.
The second she looked up and our eyes met... just wow. Leah
didn't know she was looking at me but I was looking at her. Beyond her eyes,
deep into her beautiful soul. She was like no woman I'd ever seen before. The
way she escaped, the fear in her eyes, but yet she was just beautiful. I had to
protect her. It was risky to expose myself to Leah like I did as I came from
the woods, but I needed to make sure she didn't get shot.
Then when the car sped away, Leah was alone. I hurried back
into the woods to shift back to human and I couldn't keep my eyes off her. We
talked and she couldn't see me... well... because I was naked. I had to go get
my clothes, which I did by running away and getting my motorcycle. When I came
up the road and saw Leah in the headlight, my heart felt ready to explode. It's
the same feeling as when I shift. That surge of life and wild urges.
What more can I say about her? She punched me in the heart
from the second I met her... a human cutting through the thick flesh of a
beast. Some say love makes you weak, but not me. It makes me stronger. It makes
me hungry. It makes me want to kill to protect.
It makes me feel more alive than ever before.
