More Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have the More blog tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, guest post, review, and giveaway.

Amy has kept her distance from men after her sleazy ex took everything from her—everything but her daughter, Paisley, whom Amy would do anything to protect. She’s learned to keep her guard up, but it’s getting harder and harder to do around a man like Mike, whose penetrating gaze leaves her speechless. Mike is unlike any man Amy has ever met. He’s patient, kind, a loving father, ripped, and, amazingly, seeming way into her. Still, Amy makes it clear that she has no intention of the two of them being more than friends. But when threats from her past put Paisley in danger, Amy finds that more with Mike just might save her life…and her heart.

Review:
I have read a couple of Sierra's books and loved them and this one is no different. I immediately downloaded this book and devoured it in one sitting. There is quite a lot that happens in this book but not once did I feel lost if anything I was hooked on Amy's story from the start. If you love books with romance, sexy swoon worthy men you can't help but love, and women you can't help but root for to find their happy ever after then definitely read this book. 4/5 Bloody Fangs

Sierra Kincade lives in the Midwest with her husband and son. When she’s not writing naughty books, she loves eating chocolate cupcakes, binge-watching cable series, and singing loudly in the car. She wholeheartedly believes that love stories are real, and you should never choose a partner who doesn’t make you laugh.

A few of Sierra’s favorite things:

Bad boys with dirty mouths – English Breakfast tea with two packets of Sugar in the Raw – any movie or show with a choreographed dance routine – cinnamon toast – kids who say funny things – friends who raid her pantry without asking – bootleg jeans – making lists – old Garth Brooks songs – and of course, massages.

Here are some of my favorite books that I’ve read this year (in no particular order):

LONG WAY HOME by Katie McGarry. This is part of her Thunder Road series and I had the pleasure of getting it early (it comes out in January). Everyone needs to read this. It’s so good.

BIG ROCK and MISTER O by Lauren Blakely. These books are so funny they made me laugh out loud. Hilarious male narrators. Super steamy. I loved them.

SWEET FILTHY BOY, DIRTY ROWDY THING, DARK WILD NIGHT, and WICKED SEXY LIAR by Christina Lauren. I consumed these books in a matter of days and would read them again in a heartbeat. They’re the perfect mix of hot, sweet, and hilarious. I couldn’t get enough of them.

THE SERPENT KING by Jeff Zentner. This is a much more serious choice, but I loved it, and it haunted me for days after I finished. It’s about three teens in the rural south trying to decide what they’re going to do with their lives. Absolutely beautiful writing.

THE WRATH & THE DAWN by Renee Ahdeih. This is a take on A Thousand and One Nights, and is gorgeous from start to finish. Kickass heroine and a guy with a LOT of secrets. Check it out.

ALL PLAYED OUT by Cora Carmack. I had never read a Cora Carmack book before, but found this at an airport after forgetting my Kindle and picked it up. It’s SO steamy, and really sweet. Definitely a fan of Cora’s now!

Those are some of my favorites! I hope MORE becomes one of yours! Thanks for reading, and thanks for having me, Sabrina!

The Sound Of Rain Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have The Sound of Rain tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, review, guest post, and giveaway.

Former homicide detective Nicole Foster has hit rock bottom. Driven off the force by her treacherous partner and lover, she’s flat broke and struggling with a gambling addiction. All Nicole has left is the dream of a warm bed at a homeless shelter and the haunting memories of three-year-old Kelsey Chase—whose murder case ended her career.

As Nicole obsesses over the old facts, she realizes everything about that case felt off: a disinterested mom, a suicidal pedophile, and too many questions left unanswered. When the little girl’s grieving father begs Nicole for help, she’s drawn back into the investigation…and given one shot at redemption.

But the deeper Nicole digs, the more evil she uncovers, including betrayals that hit painfully close to home. Will a shocking discovery be the key to finally getting justice for Kelsey and resurrecting her own life?

Review:

WOW! I literally could not put this book down. I was hooked from the start and read this book in one sitting I actually don't even think I moved while reading I was that involved with the story and the characters. Just when I thought I knew what was happening another twist comes along and completely throws me off but I loved every minute of not knowing what was gonna happen next. If you love a great mystery, deceitful characters that you love to hate, and a heroine who is flawed but you can connect to then I highly recommend this book or any book by Gregg as they are all so good! 5/5 Bloody Fangs

Favorite Books Read This YearFavorite Author Read This YearFavorite Reads EverFavorite Book Covers Ever

1.       Red Queen by Victoria Averyard. Saw it in Target. Bullseye.
2.      Meet Me Here by Bryan Bliss. Looks like a movie poster!
3.      Columbine by Dave Cullen. Heartbreakingly simple and bleak.
4.      Doctor Sleep by Stephen King. Moody and with perfect type for the title. Love!
5.      The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater. Her book’s are always perfect inside and out. This one is especially effective.
6.      Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace. I haven’t read it yet, but the cover dares me not to.
7.       Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige. I’d follow that cover to OZ anytime. If I had a brain.
8.      Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira. I doubt a cover could be any better than what the designer did for this book. It is familiar and edgy at the same time.
9.      Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. Because I read these as a teenager, just had to include. Iconic.

10.   The Sound of Rain by Gregg Olsen. I love it. But then I’m a little biased, right?

Lock & Mori Mind Games Nerd Blast

Today on my blog I have the Lock & Mori Nerd Blast. On my stop there is a spotlight, and giveaway.

Sherlock Holmes and Miss James “Mori” Moriarty may have closed their first case, but the mystery is far from over in the thrilling sequel to Lock & Mori, perfect for fans of Maureen Johnson and Sherlock.

You know their names. Now discover their beginnings.

Mori’s abusive father is behind bars…and she has never felt less safe. Threatening letters have started appearing on her doorstep, and the police are receiving anonymous tips suggesting that Mori—not her father—is the Regent’s Park killer. To make matters worse, the police are beginning to believe them.

Through it all, Lock—frustrating, brilliant, gorgeous Lock—is by her side. The two of them set out to discover who is framing Mori, but in a city full of suspects, the task is easier said than done. With the clock ticking, Mori will discover just how far she is willing to go to make sure that justice is served, and no one—not even Lock—will be able to stop her.

Heather has been obsessed with mysteries since she was twelve, which is when she decided that stories about murders in London drawing rooms and English seaside villages were far superior to all other stories. Lock & Mori is her first novel. She lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband, daughter, and four hopelessly devious cats.

A Guide To The Other Side Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have the A Guide To The Other Side tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, review, guest post, and giveaway.

A boy and his ghostly twin sister work together to pass messages from the beyond in this funny paranormal debut.

There are a few things you should know about Baylor Bosco: He’s thirteen-years-old, he has a twin sister, and he really does NOT like ghosts…which is problematic because he’s a medium and sees ghosts everywhere.

Oh, and his twin sister, Kristina? She’s a ghost too.

They’ve been working as a pair for years, expertly relaying messages from ghosts to their still-living loved ones. Baylor’s even managed to come up with an introductory phrase—one that he has to use far too often.

But when a strange ghost shows up close to Halloween, a grown man, covered in a sheet, with only his black leather shoes showing from the bottom, Baylor starts to wonder if something else has taken notice of him. And when his sister goes missing, somehow ghost-napped, he’s forced to figure out the truth about the Sheet Man and his sister’s disappearance, all without his usual ghostly ambassador.

Review:

When I saw the synopsis for this book I jumped at the chance to read it and I am so glad I did as I really enjoyed this book. I've read other ghost books before but not like this one where the hero's dead twin is his spirit guide. I really liked both main characters. At times I found myself forgetting that Kristina was actually dead. She has such personality that it is easy to forget that Baylor is the only that can see or hear her. Some of my favorite scenes are with her when she is giving her opinion on Baylor's friends when they are at school together. This was definitely a great read right around Halloween. I highly recommend this book to anyone. I can't wait to read more of Baylor and Kristina. 4/5 Bloody Fangs

Favorite Books Read This Year
I’m cheating for this topic. Even though I’ve read more than 10 books this year, it’s been a year of total chaos for me and I didn’t get nearly as much reading done as I should have – and definitely not nearly enough to responsibly put together a list of my favorites for the year. So, instead, I’m going to list ten different books I own that have beautiful covers I’ve so enjoyed staring at for the past year and which I very much look forward to reading one day…very soon…hopefully.

1.       Pax (Such a great cover. Give Jon Klassen all the awards.)
2.      Big Magic
3.      Live from New York: The Complete, Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live
4.      Anna and the Swallow Man
5.      All the Light We Cannot See (I know….I know.)
6.      The Rest of Us Just Live Here (I scored a signed copy when I was visiting New Hampshire.)
7.       The Underground Railroad (actually, I’m on page 4 of this one…so, I’m doing pretty well…)
8.      Shadow Scale (the sequel to Serafina, a delightful dragon-filled fantasy.)
9.      The Inquisitor’s Tale (I got my copy at a panel I did with Adam, and I got a signed, personalized copy like a true fan.)

10.   Six of Crows (Those black paper edges!)
