Such Sweet Sorrow Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have the Such Sweet Sorrow blog tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, review, and awesome giveaway.

Never was there a tale of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo…But true love never dies. Though they’re parted by the veil between the world of mortals and the land of the dead, Romeo believes he can restore Juliet to life, but he’ll have to travel to the underworld with a thoroughly infuriating guide.

Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, may not have inherited his father’s crown, but the murdered king left his son a much more important responsibility—a portal to the Afterjord, where the souls of the dead reside. When the determined Romeo asks for help traversing the treacherous Afterjord, Hamlet sees an opportunity for adventure, and the chance to avenge his father’s death.

In an underworld filled with leviathan monsters, ghoulish shades, fire giants and fierce Valkyrie warriors, Hamlet and Romeo must battle their way through jealousy, despair, and their darkest fears to rescue the fair damsel. Yet finding Juliet is only the beginning, and the Afterjord doesn’t surrender souls without a price…

Review:
The cover drew me in but when I read the blurb I knew I had to read this book. The combining of Romeo and Juliet with Hamlet blew my mind but than Jenny added in mythology and I was blown away!

I know it sounds crazy to have these classic plays rewritten and than even crossing over but Jenny makes it work and have you so caught up in this story that you will be flipping the pages just to see what happens next. And that is exactly what I did. I read this book in one sitting to the point of ignoring everything and everyone around me I was that engrossed with this dark, beautiful, twist filled, romance that it has me going back to re-read the original plays.

The major characters just captured my attention. I loved all three of them but for different reasons. Romeo is so devoted to Juliet even going against death. He is so sweet and caring and just captured my heart. Juliet is a strong heroine and fought for Romeo making sure he would make it out of the afterlife alive even if that meant she had to stay. Hamlet confused me quite a bit but if you’re lucky enough to be considered his friend than he would fight for you and he showed that.

I am really hoping there will be another one as I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters. 5/5 Bloody Fangs

  1. I like you are SUPER attracted to the cover but the synopsis kind of makes me need it even more. Your review was wonderful and it always means so much to love the characters and being able to love all 3 is amazing!!
