I am so excited to have Gladys Quintal has todays Author Spotlight. We get to know more about her and her books called The Dream Series. There is also a giveaway for 3 ebooks but I will tell you more about that later. So let's get to know more about Gladys first.
I love everything Paranormal, especially Vampires and after seeing the TV show Moonlight, I was inspired to write my first novel "The Man of my Dreams." I also love the concept behind Dexter, so my hero is kind of Mick St John meets Dexter!
Although my books are a work of fiction, there is also an element of realism as a lot of material comes from my own life. Quite a few of my characters are based on real life people too.
I am now a stay at home mum of 4 but write every chance I get, whenever the kids let me! My passion is and always has been writing. These characters are very close to my heart and I hope you will come to love them as much as I have.

When did you know you wanted to become a writer?
I have always loved writing - ever since I was a little girl and had ambitons of writing a book. Just never thought I could do it.
How did the idea of The Dream series come to you?
I had a really bad childhood and always prayed that someone would rescue me. I came up with the vigilant vampire that saves damsels in distress, mainly because of that.
Are any of your characters based off people you know?
Yes. Cassie is based on me, Hayley, Moyra and Nana are all real life friends of mine, Chloe is based on my daughter Emma and Elizabeth is Elibeth Bathory - the real life serial killer of 4 centuries ago.
How many books will be in the series?
At this stage 4 or 5 - I haven't figured it out properly yet.
How do you over come writer’s block?
I just stop for a while - if I try and force it, it doesn't happen. If I back away, I start having dreams and visions again.
What is your writing process?
I usually write late at night when all the kids are asleep and the house is quiet. Then I can actually concentrate on my writing.
What is your favorite paranormal being?
Vampires of course!
What was the first paranormal book you read?
The Fog By James Herbert when I was 14. I was hooked!

Diana Gabaldon, James Herbert, Trevor Munson, E L James, Barbara Erskine, Victoria Holt....
Can you give us any hints about future books?
At the moment I am just finishing off my autobiography, then I intend to go back to The
Dream Series and write about what Elizabeth got up to after she died in the castle - in the 400 years that she was waiting for The Chosen One to be born. It is going to be bordering on erotica, I think..
Is there a writer or writers that inspire you?
Trevor Munson wrote Angel of Vengeance, which inspired the TV show Moonlight - my favourite show of all time. Moonlight inspired me.

A vampire
If you were stranded on a deserted island what character would you want with you and why?
Mick St John...... *sigh*
What would you do in a zombie apocalypse?
Scream and run like a little girl.....
What 3 people would you like to have dinner with and why?
Friends from facebook that I haven't met yet - hard to choose just 3! Moyra, Nana and Jennifer.....

There are so many that i love that it is hard to pick just one. I absolutely love the Black Dagger Brotherhood, and i dont really have a favorite bc i love them all. So if i had to pick one of them i guess today it would be Rhage. (tomorrow would probably be V or Butch or Maybe Z or Tohr :)) I pick Rhage bc he is SO sexy and hilarious. Through out the books he is always making me laugh and the crazy and random things that come out of his mouth. There is also another one from a different series that is one of my favorites. I'm not sure if we can pick two, but if we can the second one would be Bones,from the Night Huntress series. I'd pick him bc he is really sexy,funny,and is from England (LOVE his accent). Also how he reacts with Cat. they are hilarious together. i guess i have a thing for sexy and funny vampires ;)
