Fallen Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have the Fallen Blog Tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, excerpt, review, and guest post.

Fallen - the first book in the bestselling Guardian Trilogy...
Maggie is unaware of the terrifying fate that awaits her. It isn't until she lands in New Orleans for a full year at a private high school and her unknown enemies find her does she realize that her life is in danger.
As a mystifying stranger repeatedly intervenes and blocks the attempts on her life, she begins to learn that there is more to him than his need to protect her and that he may be the key to understanding why her enemies have just now arrived.

Excerpt:

“So you’re warning me away from you?” I was appalled. “Then why are you doing this…guarding me at all? Why the torment? Why watch over me when you know that…that we should be more?” I felt on the verge of tears, which amazed me. How could pain be so sharp in the afterlife? “Answer me, Eran. Why?”
He sighed. “Because it is my job.”
I gasped, more offended than I’d ever been. “I’m a job to you?” I stared at him and waited for his head to rise but he refused to look at me.
“Yes,” he said weakly, defeated. His beautiful, rugged voice released as a whimper and the pain inside me grew. “You are just a job.”
I didn’t think it was possible but the emptiness I’d felt with Eran being gone those many weeks held no comparison to the magnitude of what I was experiencing right now.
I felt as if I had been gutted.

“No…” I shook my head. “I don’t believe you because you see, Eran, I can feel your emotions run through me. Whether you want to admit them or not, I know how you feel about me.”

Guest Post:

Letter from Maggie on her thoughts about the stranger who protects her….

So you want to know about Eran…Well, the guy is charming, I'll give him that much. He has this knack for showing up whenever I'm in trouble, and he handles those situations with confident ease. He just swaggers in and eliminates whatever is hostile toward me. He's also incredibly handsome while doing it. That wavy brown hair, perceptive clear aqua eyes, tempting British accent, all of it. It's just unavoidably appealing, but I would never admit it to him. Never. Why not? Here's why not…He has this cocky grin that always seems to rise up in my presence, as if he's quietly insisting that he knows more than me and I should just sit down and let him take over. As if I can't do what he's doing, as if I'm helplessly infantile in my own defense. So, yes, he may be fascinating, but he's also very annoying. I've told him this, said it directly to his gorgeous face, and yet has he changed his behavior? Has he stopped coming to my rescue? No.

In truth, if I were bluntly honest with myself, I'd have to admit I'm sort of glad he hasn't listened to me. I like when he shows up. More than like.

There's something about him, something that draws me to him in a private, personal way. I feel like we've known each other for centuries, like we've argued this way before and made up before. I feel like I've seen every one of his emotions and he's seen every one of mine, and we still accept each other for who we are.  But that's all ridiculous because we've only just met.

So, to sum it up, he's antagonizing with his protection detail and intoxicating with his presence. Deeply, inescapably intoxicating.

I'm realizing now that I've written too much already. I'm going to end my letter here and just hope this doesn't end up in his hands.

All the best,
Maggie Tanner

Review:

This was a pleasant surprise. I really loved this book and I can’t wait to read the next one. I am not going to say much in my review as I don’t want to give away too much and ruin this amazing story.

I loved Maggie she is smart, has a great sense of humor, and just kicks butt. She definitely has become one of my favorite characters this year. Watching her learn more about herself and the past was fun to read. Eran has become my new book crush. He is just swoon worthy. I loved every time he was in the storyline.

With suspense, love, danger, and heart break this is definitely a series worth picking up and getting lost in. 4/5 Bloody Fangs
