Today on my blog I have the Dylan Hart Revamp blog tour. This is one of my all time favorite series. I love Dylan she is one kick ass heroine who I can totally relate to. I love this series so much I own the books in print and ebook so I have them with me all the time to read. So let's get this post going so you can meet Dylan Hart for yourself.
WARNING: Excessive Sarcasm & Adult Language
Irreverent twenty-something and journalist , Dylan Hart, has her little black heart set to cashing-in on the blood-drained bodies of seven prostitutes scattered throughout southern California.
In an attempt to write her first best-selling novel and pay off her ever growing student debt, Dylan begins the search for the culprit of the media-dubbed Vampire Massacres, diving head first into L.A.’s sanguinary ‘vampire’ subculture.
Not your daughter’s vampire story, The Scene escorts readers into an all too real sanguinarian lifestyle and drags them through a bloody good mystery. Horrible pun intended.
Review:
I was drawn to this by the cover from one line “They’re not your daughter’s vampires” that alone had me picking this book up and staying up late into the night to finish it even though I kept telling myself just one more chapter then I am going to bed. Well that one more chapter lead me to finish the book in one sitting and I am so glad I did.
We start off meeting Dylan Hart who I just love. She is a reporter who wants to write a book centered on the vampire killings in Los Angeles. She sets off to the latest crime scene where she can talk to the lead detective Mike who she has a strange relationship with but is explained later on in the book. Getting nowhere with the cops she goes to a Goth bar to interview what she believes are kids playing at being vampires. She is annoyed with the first kid she interviews so she calls her best friend Tatum to go to a different bar. While at this bar they meet Cyrus who is not what he seems to be. He takes Dylan and Tatum to yet another exclusive member’s only club where things start turning weird for Dylan after her drink is drugged and she can’t remember anything from the nights but bits and pieces. Dylan is furious when she wakes up and demands Cyrus tell her everything but that proves a little difficult when he can’t remember either. So he sets up a meeting with his boss Malcolm. After this meeting things start to get crazy for Dylan and the book she is trying to write turns into her fighting for her life. Dylan is forced into re thinking everything she thought and trying to figure who she can trust.
I loved this book so much. Dylan is one of my favorite characters I have ever read. We are a lot a like in our personalities. She is funny, sarcastic, and smart mouthed. I kept finding myself laughing out loud while reading the things she was saying. Her relationship with her best friend Tatum is a lot like most of us have. Cyrus is sexy and mysterious. He’s the kind of guy you can’t figure out if he’s the villain or hero and right along with Dylan being confused about him so was I. It wasn’t until close to the end of the book that I stared figuring things out.
If you want a book filled with characters you can love and feel like you know, murder, betrayal, vampires, have you laughing out loud, and leave you guessing at every turn then I highly recommend The Scene by R.M. Gilmore. 5/5 Bloody Fangs
WARNING: Extreme use of the F bomb. Reader beware.
The bitch is back in this second installment of the Dylan Hart Odyssey of the Occult series. The graciously irreverent Dylan Hart, is at it again this time from down in New Orleans. In an unfamiliar city, surrounded by ‘vampire’ elite, Dylan finds herself entangled in the underground world of blood and lust.
- Or is that bloodlust? -
Dylan is forced to sift through fact and fiction when she encounters a new, and much more frightening, villain. Voodoo. Who do?
Review:
R.M. has surpassed herself with the second book of the Dylan Hart series. Book two is funnier, sexier, edgier, and side splitting laughing out loud to the point of having people look at you like you have lost your ever loving mind and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Dylan finds herself in New Orleans on a new adventure that will have her belief system spinning yet again. Pushing her relationships to the max, making new enemies, and getting hot and heavy but with whom, well you will have to read the book to find that part out for yourself.
So I already had a girl crush on Dylan from book one The Scene and this book made me love her even more. She is by far my favorite female character and I already want book three so I can read more of Dylan. There isn’t a minute of this book that didn’t have me completely engrossed in the story line. It is fast paced and had me on the edge of my seat with my heart pounding or had me laughing out loud to the point people are staring at me.
If you want a series with a kick ass heroine who has the biggest potty mouth, that has a great mix of humor, action, sex, than check out Dylan Hart by R.M. Gilmore. 5/5 Bloody Fangs
WARNING: Contains cynicism known to cause laughter and suspense that may affect heart rate.
Dylan has found herself in quite the conundrum. Locked in her apartment with an unknown voodoo beastie hot on her tail. She's tits deep in death and it's knocking down her door. Literally.
Endless Night left you with your heart pounding and your stomach in your butt. Sacrifice will flip you upside down and take you on a ride that will leave your knees quivering and your head lying on the floor...literally.

Now to meet the Kick Ass Dylan Hart:
Sabrina asked that I write a blog post. I have no idea what
the fuck a blog post is. What am I supposed to write about?
My name is Dylan Hart, Dylan Kennedy Hart if you want to get
technical, and I’m writing a blog post. This is me, writing a blog post. I’m
writing blog postiness on my computer. My out-of-date piece-of-shit computer. A
financially impractical paperweight. An utter waste of perfectly good plastic
and engineering. Windows 7 seems a distant dream and 8, well, 8 is more than
this little blog post writer can even fathom. Eventually in this bullshit thing
called adulthood I’ll be able to afford an upgrade. Things like food and toilet
paper tend to take precedence in the overall chore of independent living.
When you’re a kid everyone says, you can be anything you
want to be. What they don’t say is, you can be anything you want to be unless
you want to eat food and shit comfortably then you better become a doctor or
lawyer. Or a drug dealer. Or a stripper, really, I heard they make good money.
I’m too much of an asshole to deal to people who obviously are using the system to buy their drugs and my fat ass
wouldn’t make money in the stripping game unless there was a plus size section.
Or they were paying me to put my clothes back on.
Any way you look at it, my career choice was probably not
the best. Journalism should have been an outlet to voice my ever-flowing opinions
and make money doing it. Instead, I could barely pay rent and drove a car I had
to kick start. That was of course before my career
landed me ass deep in would-be vampire asshats and vengeful voodoo bitches.
Now, my mom funds my eating and shitting. My
mom. Yet, I still kick start my car and write blog posts, whatever the fuck
those are, on an ancient relic some would call a computer.
Fuck you, life. Fuck
you hard.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I would also like to say Thank You to RM for letting me read your kick ass books and for letting Dylan write a guest post. Don't forget to enter this giveaway below.
