Sugar & Spice Blog Tour

I am so excited to be part of this tour. I have read books by all three of these authors and loved them so when I got asked to be a part of this I jumped at the chance. So lets get know more about these books before I post a guest post with all three heroes and the giveaway.

Silence is golden. Honesty...not so much.

Gwen Palmer's saucy mouth gets in the way of her heart's desire...again. Just when she is about to trade her baker's hat for a nun's habit, she comes face to face with her idol, Ethan Reynolds.

Ethan isn't immune to Gwen's loose lips. Nor her quirkiness. And something about her smile tugs at his heart. Will he look beyond her outrageous remarks and see the truth inside? Or will Gwen lose her one chance at true love?

A gold locket catches her eye and her heart. Inside the tiny gold frame is a picture of the one man she compares all others to. The one that got away..

Can this locket, one wish, bring back the love she lost?

My Review:
The cover drew me in but the story hooked me and pulled at my heart and soul.

Sara is on vacation with her best friends. They go into an old antique shop and an old locket catches her attention. Inside there is an old photo of 2 people. The one of the man resembles Crew, Sara’s boyfriend from eight years ago who passed away. Sara has never gotten over him and dreams of him often. But one wish changes everything for Sara and what she thought was possible.

I loved this story so much. I could feel Sara’s heart break and love for Crew as if it was my own. Crew is just amazing I loved him from the minute we meet him. The time they got to spend together was bittersweet. If I was Sara I don’t know if I could say goodbye to my one true love all over again. Their goodbye had me in tears but the present Sara is left with is one of pure love.

My only complaint about this book is that it was a novella. I wanted more of Crew. Make sure you have tissue by you when your reading because you will need it. 5/5 Bloody Fangs

Jonah McCabe made a horrible mistake six years ago that cost him his chance at happiness. Then fate interceded.

A last minute favor has him coming face to face with the past. Every beautiful inch of it. Her laughter still echoed in his mind. As did the pain in her voice the day she left.

Can he make things right in a race against the clock or will time continue to work against him?

Hero Guest Post:
Scene goal--how they each knew she was the one...

(Jonah) *clears throat* A chef, a musician, and a ghost walk into a bar...

(Ethan & Crew) *groaning*

(Ethan) Not that joke again. Don’t you have any new material?

(Crew) Stick with your day job, guitar boy.

(Jonah) Like you’ve never touched a guitar. *snorts*

(Crew) *folding arms and leaning back* Depends. Which day? Alive or dead?

(Ethan) I think I’ll just sit back and let you two battle this one out.

(Jonah) Why is that, cake boy? You too busy licking cupcakes?

(Crew) *slugging Jonah in the shoulder* Cake boy. I like that. Uh-oh. Cake boy looks like he might be about to dish something out.

(Ethan) Yeah, well you might want to put down your guitar and pick up a cookbook. Gwen is the baker, not me.

(Jonah) I’m no stranger to the kitchen. Trust me. You don’t grow up in the south without learning how to cook. So tell us about some of the, ahem, treats she provides you...

(Ethan) Hey, I’m a gentleman. I don’t kiss and tell.

(Jonah) *looks at Crew* She must be as sweet as her cupcakes.

(Crew) Gwen sweet? With that mouth? More like saucy.

(Ethan) Alright boys. Laugh and remark away, but it will only put off the inevitable and we’ll all start thinking you’re avoiding the reason we got here today.

(Crew) *glances at Jonah* Is he always this driven?

(Jonah) Could it be that we found the one person on the planet who hasn’t seen your show, Ethan? You gonna survive that one?

(Crew) Show? No, wait, don’t tell me. I don’t want to know and it probably hasn’t even hit the air where I’m from. But one thing you said certainly grabbed me. We’re all yours, Hollywood.

(Ethan) *rolling eyes, exasperated* Mine, huh? Well then, inquiring minds want to know--.

(Jonah) Yeah, yeah. We remember--What do we like in a woman? I say you start us off, Ethan.

(Ethan) She would have to be able to handle the lack of privacy in our relationship. I think that is the most difficult part. Knowing wherever you go, someone could be following your every move. Trust is also very important. I can’t tell you how many lies have been printed about me.

(Jonah) I’m not a stranger to being in the spotlight, but I get ya. Rumors suck for everyone.

(Ethan) *shakes head* So you know, Jonah, that it takes a very special woman to be with guys like us.

(Jonah) Yeah, I do. It's a kick in the teeth when you think you find her, then lose her. Second chances are rare. A woman who gives you one is more than a keeper. She’s your destiny.

(Ethan)  Well said my friend. I guess I got a little off track. What do I like in a woman? I want a woman who can make me laugh. Who isn’t afraid to be herself around me. Bad hair days and all. A woman who can look beyond the celebrity and see the real me.

(Jonah) Yeah. I hear ya. For me, it’s similar. I want a woman with a sense of humor. Who will laugh at my dumb jokes. Get mad when I do really dumb stuff, but who isn’t afraid to take a chance on me. And she loves music. She has to love music. I want someone I can melt with a song.

What about you, Crew. How did you know your girl was the one?

(Crew) *crosses arms, looks down a moment* There isn’t just one moment. Like the clouds parting and the angels hitting some perfect note.

More like something sneaking up on me, then lingering, then building and it wasn’t til she was gone that I knew all that went missing with her. Like I’d become whole and didn’t even know it til I found myself fragmented again. I still can’t forgive myself. I don’t know how Sara can.

I’ll be the last person to talk her out of it, though. And I’ll never let her go again. Never.

*silence*

(Ethan) You’re not gonna cry. Are you?

(Crew) *laughing* And end up in one of guitar boys songs? Hell no. That’s all you’ll get out of me.

(Jonah) Isn't there already a song about you, ghost boy? Unchained Melody? No, wait! I think some other ghost beat you to that song.

(Ethan) Okay boys, how about we settle this over a beer? You know that reminds me of a joke. A chef, a musician, and a ghost walk into a bar...
