Reignited Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have the Reignited blog tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, review, and giveaway.

A sibling rivalry.
A forbidden romance.
A spell that changes everything.

In Heliopolis secrets abound and passions ignite as chaos rises.

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Tiger’s Curse series and Reawakened comes a novella full of celestial marvel, passion, betrayal, and evil that will grow to reign over humanity forever.

Before Lily and Amon met, before the cosmos was in chaos and needed three brave brothers to fight off evil, there were four siblings who helped rule the earth.

Each sibling had a special gift. Osiris, the god of agriculture, helped mortals to grow and thrive in their natural environment. Isis, the goddess of creation, fostered health and wellness. Nephthys, the seer, was able to keep the balance between all living beings and the universe. But Seth, the youngest sibling, was left without any special powers. The Waters of Chaos, which granted each god’s talent, were running dry, and Seth was paying the price.

As time passed, however, Seth’s determination and willfulness resulted in a very special gift, one that should have granted him the ability to enact wondrous change. But Seth’s competitive childhood gave him a heart so cold and vacant that instead, his gift brought about great evil.

Seth was now the god of unmaking, the creator of disorder and destruction. And he was ready to seek his revenge, dominating all who got in his way.

Review:
I really love this trilogy by Colleen. She takes Egyptian Mythology that we all know and love but she makes it her own so when I found out she was writing a prequel to the Reawakened books I knew I had to read it. Let me tell you she didn't disappoint with this. I loved getting to know the brothers before our time and seeing how their past has shaped them. I would definitely recommend this book and  the trilogy to anyone  that loves Mythology. 5/5 Bloody Fangs

Last Day On Mars Blog Tour

Today on my blog I havr the Last Day On Mars blog tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, review, guest post, and giveaway.

It is Earth year 2213—but, of course, there is no Earth anymore. Not since it was burned to a cinder by the sun, which has mysteriously begun the process of going supernova. The human race has fled to Mars, but this was only a temporary solution while we prepare for a second trip: a one-hundred-fifty-year journey to a distant star, our best guess at where we might find a new home.

Liam Saunders-Chang is one of the last humans left on Mars. The son of two scientists who have been racing against time to create technology vital to humanity’s survival, Liam, along with his friend Phoebe, will be on the very last starliner to depart before Mars, like Earth before it, is destroyed.

Or so he thinks. Because before this day is over, Liam and Phoebe will make a series of profound discoveries about the nature of time and space, and find out that the human race is just one of many in our universe locked in a desperate struggle for survival.

Review:
I don't usually read sci-fi books but I have read previous books by Kevin and enjoyed them so I wanted to give this one a try. It's different but in a good and kept my attention all the way through. I really liked the different perspectives from the kids and adults in this book. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this series. 4/5 Bloody Fangs

Crazy Messy Beautiful Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have the Crazy Messy Beautiful tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, review, guest post, and giveaway.

From National Book Award finalist Carrie Arcos–a fresh take on happily ever after, and friendship, that is anything but a love story.

When your namesake is Pablo Neruda—the greatest love poet of all time—finding “the one” should be easy. After all, sixteen-year-old aspiring artist Neruda Diaz has been in love many times before. So it’s only a matter of time before someone loves him back.

Callie could be that someone. She’s creative and edgy, and nothing like the girls Neruda typically falls for, so when a school assignment brings them together, he is pleasantly surprised to learn they have a lot in common. With his true love in reach and his artistic ambitions on track, everything is finally coming together.

But as Neruda begins to fall faster and harder than ever before, he is blindsided by the complicated nature of love—and art—in more ways than one. And when the relationships he’s looked to for guidance threaten to implode, Neruda must confront the reality that love is crazier, messier, and more beautiful than he ever realized—and riskier, too, than simply saying the words.

Review:
This is a sweet story about Neruda who wants a true love but he has a hard time finding it. He always loves the girls more then they love him. I really liked Neruda. He was easy to conect with. I also enjoyed all the secondary characters. It was easy to feel like you could be friends with them all. The writing is good and it was easy to picture being in the story with the characters. I am looking forward to reading more books from Carrie in the future. 4/5 Bloody Fangs

The Lost Girl Of Astor Street Blog Tour

Today on my blog I have The Lost Girl Of Astor Street tour. On my stop there is a spotlight, review, guest post, and giveaway.

Lydia has vanished.

Lydia, who’s never broken any rules, except falling in love with the wrong boy. Lydia, who’s been Piper’s best friend since they were children. Lydia, who never even said good-bye.

Convinced the police are looking in all the wrong places, eighteen-year-old Piper Sail begins her own investigation in an attempt to solve the mystery of Lydia’s disappearance. With the reluctant help of a handsome young detective, Piper goes searching for answers in the dark underbelly of 1924 Chicago, determined to find Lydia at any cost.

When Piper discovers those answers might stem from the corruption strangling the city—and quite possibly lead back to the doors of her affluent neighborhood—she must decide how deep she’s willing to dig, how much she should reveal, and if she’s willing to risk her life of privilege for the sake of the truth.

From the glitzy homes of the elite to the mob-run streets of 1920s Chicago, Stephanie Morrill’s jazz-age mystery shows just how far a girl will go to save her friend.

Review:

I love the 1920's so when I saw this book was set in a period of time I love and in Chicago I knew I needed to read this book. I was hooked pretty quickly on the characters. I especially loved Piper I had an instant connection to her. She has been my favorite heroine so far this year. I have to mention Mariano the detective who helps Piper on her quest to find her missing best friend. He is swoon worthy and is definitely on my new book boyfriend list. I loved the chemestry between him and Piper. But as much as I love the characters and the story line what makes this book one of my favorite reads so far is that it's set in the roaring 20's of Chicago which almost becomes a character in the book if that makes since. I am definitely hoping for more books with Piper and Mariano in the future. 5/5 Bloody Fangs

PRAISE for UNFOLDING

Jonah wishes he could get the girl, but he's an outcast and she's the most perfect girl he knows. And their futures seemed destined to fork apart: Jonah's physical condition is debilitating, and epileptic seizures fill his life with frustration. Whereas Stormi is seemingly carefree, and navigates life by sensing things before they happen. And her most recent premonition is urging her to leave town. When Stormi begs Jonah for help, he finds himself swept into a dark mystery his small town has been keeping for years. And the answers Stormi needs about her own past could possibly destroy everything Jonah has ever known -- including his growing relationship with Stormi herself. 'Unfolding' by author Jonathan Friesen is a consistently compelling novel from beginning to end and will prove to be an enduringly popular addition to highschool and community library YA Fiction collections. For personal reading lists it should be noted that 'Unfolding' is also available in a Kindle edition ($9.99). -- Midwest Book Review

An awkward 18-year-old and his enigmatic crush discover that their town hides a terrible secret. Gullary, Oklahoma, a former mining town that is now dominated by a maximum security prison and ruled by a group of vigilantes called the Circle, has always been prone to violent storms. White narrator Jonah, afflicted with scoliosis and epilepsy (aka "Old Rickety"), is more preoccupied with Stormi, a "free and wild" spirit with a healing touch and psychic powers, than storms. Wandering in and out of occasionally florid flashbacks peppered with fake Latin, self-deprecating humor, and self-pity, Jonah recounts the awkward evolution of his friendship with Stormi and his misadventures with Old Rickety and his twisted spine. When Stormi predicts a tragic accident and comes under the Circle's suspicion, she and Jonah flee Gullary, learning its dark secret along the way. Someoneor somethingwants justice, and they're its instruments. Several plot points pass in a whirlwind of explanations, losing some emotional impact. Tired tropes, such as epilepsy as a harbinger of evil spirits, abound. However, when the dust settles, some strong character development remains. The biblical, ominous atmosphere of Gullary provides a vivid backdrop for Jonah's and Stormi's feelings of longing and alienation, which are further explored through occasionally poignant banter and conflicted family relationships. The almost-romance is engaging. A flawed but darkly atmospheric read. (Fiction. 13-18) -- Kirkus Reviews

Review:

This is not my normal book and I was a little lost trying to understand the heroine Stormi but with that said I enjoyed the book. I really loved the hero Jonah. I connected to him instantly and kept turning the pages to get to know him more. He's a great hero and so easy to connect with. He's honest, kind, social awkward, but he's such a good friend to Stormi. I had a hard time connecting to Stormi but I did like her and how much she was there for Jonah. Overall I would recommend this book. 4/5 Bloody Fangs
