Born in Flames by Candace Knoebel

       Synopsis:

Red mirrored scales race up my arms as the haze of pain blurs my vision. My bones crack, breaking to realign. I scream. It is then that the realization of my unavoidable fate sinks in; I am of a dying race. I am dragon.

Aurora Megalos, orphaned and teetering on the edge of adulthood, thought finding her past would curb the sting of being an outcast. Having no memories of the time before she awoke on her foster mother’s doorstep, she yearns for the emptiness inside her to be filled. With her fellow orphaned best friend, Fenn, by her side, she has nothing to lose and everything to gain. But something powerful stirred within her that she couldn’t explain. Something wanted out.

In the dark of night, a crazed Seer, dubbed Mr.Creepy, erases everything she’s ever known with an impending prophecy. She now faces two paths. Return to her true home to protect a dying race against a growing evil, or stay hidden in the safety of our realm with a shot at a true love. With a vengeful Arch Enemy stopping at nothing to see her dead, she’s running out of time; a decision must be made. What would you choose?

 My Review:

I loved this book so much. Not only is the cover gorgeous but I was pulled in from page one and I loved every minute of this book.

Aurora is thrown out of her world and into ours for protection. She is a dragon which is a dying race and the fates want to kill her. She doesn’t remember anything before the age of ten when she was thrown into our world. Where she gets adopted and meets a boy Fenn who doesn’t remember anything also. One day on their way to work Aurora is bothered by Mr. Creepy has they call him. He starts telling her a prophecy and it freaks her out. But in the process she starts to realize things are coming true. Aurora and Fenn set off to find Mr. Creepy to decide if they want the answers to what and who they are. But time is running out and they need to make the choice to either cross back into the world they were thrown from for protection and learn their destiny or stay in our world and try to be normal.

I loved Aurora she is strong, stubborn, and so real that I was able to connect to her easily.  Even though she is so confused about everything she fights to learn the truth which made me love her even more. Fenn is just a great guy who loves Aurora and will do anything to keep her safe. Plus I love his blue eyes. Even when he made mistakes he was quick to apologize and find ways to fix them. They are everything you want in a heroine and hero.

This ended up being one of those books where I kept saying one more chapter and that turned into me staying up until four a.m. to finish. And I am not sorry I got no sleep. I loved this whole book and I can’t wait to read more by Candace.  5/5 Bloody Fangs

Much Ado About Russian by Kerry Rockwood White

                                                          Synopsis:
"Oh God, I wanted to run. Please God, make my legs move. Then something happened that did make them move. Move faster than I could have imagined. The stranger outside my window snarled at me like a wild animal. And he had fangs."

Much Ado About Russian, book one in the Fair Hero Series, introduces us to Hero Fletcher, a single woman with her own graphic design business. On the eve of her thirtieth birthday, Hero meets a tall, dark and handsome stranger while celebrating at a Boston nightclub with her friends. Just what a single girl wants for her birthday!

Kinley McIntyre is not merely a hot guy who has a glamorous job dealing with antiques. Oh no. He just also happens to be a vampire. A vampire that gets his new flame tangled up in a mystery involving an antique Russian snuff box, and a cast of supernatural creatures Hero never knew existed.

Soon her world is turned upside down and inside out. Hero is being stalked by a creepy guy with fangs and an irritating, but ruthless, blonde Amazon. She can’t stay in her own home and needs protecting. But what to do when you find out the guy you’re dating is just as scary as the people you’re already running from?

Before she knows what's hit her, Hero is involved not just with vampires, but with shape shifters and faeries. And as if she doesn't have enough troubles, she unwittingly comes under the scrutiny of the austere vampire Magistrate and makes an enemy of a brutal Hunter. What’s a sassy, sharp-witted modern girl to do?

                                                      My Review:
Have you ever read a book that has you laughing out loud and has people looking at you like you have lost your mind? This book did this to me. I laughed so much while reading this amazing story that at times I had tears coming down my face.

Hero is out celebrating her thirtieth birthday with her friends. She meets the Sexy Kinley who gets Hero wrapped up in his world by accident. If she plans to come out of this crazy world full of vampires, shifters, and faeries she has to learn fast. But what nobody expected was for Hero’s sassy attitude to get her into more trouble and keep her new friends on their toes to keep her alive.

I loved Hero I could relate to her so much. We both have a sassy mouth that gets us in trouble. The only difference she has a sexy vampire to help get her out of trouble. I am looking forward to the next book in this amazing new series from Kerry Rockwood White. If you want a laugh out loud thrilling ride than this book is for you. 5/5 Bloody Fangs

Compulsion by K.B. Miller

                                                          Synopsis:
A family secret kept hidden in the night has been awakened with the opening of a book...

After Lilyann Moon's beloved grandmother dies shrouded by a veil of mystery, she and her young family members are yanked from their completely normal lives and catapulted directly into the supernatural world of witchcraft. A world they know absolutely nothing about.

The town of Hampstead, Maryland has no idea of the monsters lurking in their midst. Or of the dangers they will face if the Moon Coven doesn't figure out how to embrace the magick within each of them, especially Lily. She's suddenly up to her little pointy hat in magickal problems when Destiny presented her one more and it's a big one - the vampires.

The only bright spot in this nightmare was meeting Mason. But is she in love with the enemy? Lilyann is in a race against time to save her town and coven. Can Lily survive with her heart and neck intact?

It all comes down to this one night...

All Hallow's Eve.

                                                       My Review:
This book has Witches, Vampires, Ghosts, and a family secret. All of which make for fun and page turning ride.

Lily Moon has just lost her grandmother and soon afterwards finds out she is a witch along with all her cousins. Not only that but they are the most powerful Coven around. They have to learn the craft fast before the vampires close in and kill them all. But with the help of the sexy vampire Mason they just might be able to handle their new destiny and prove to everyone why the Moon Coven is so powerful.

Kymberlee writes an amazing world that will have you falling in love with all the characters even the bad ones. The details in this book are so good. You are never lost with any of the characters and what they are going through. We are left with unanswered questions and I can't wait to see how they play out. I love all the characters especially Lily, Mason, and Izzy the cat. I can not wait for the next book to see what happens with the Coven and the Vampires.

Through first love, family secrets, destiny, self confidence, and everything that ties a strong family together. Compulsion will leave you wanting more.  5/5 Bloody Fangs

Her Dark Angel by Felicity Heaton

                                                        Synopsis:
An angel without a mission, Apollyon lives trapped in Hell guarding the bottomless pit. Surrounded by endless darkness, he longs to fly free on Earth once more but his master hasn’t called him in centuries. When the call finally comes, it’s to serve a new master, a beautiful woman he has often watched over, a woman who has always captivated him.

Serenity is shocked when a gorgeous black-winged angel shows up in her city of Paris claiming that she called him when she was only casting a simple vengeance spell. He’s no other than the angel of death! When Apollyon offers to obey her and help her have revenge on her cheating ex-boyfriend, she can’t resist the temptation, but can she resist him? Can an angel as dark as Apollyon ever fall for a mortal woman like her?

Their charade as lovers quickly becomes reality when one dance leads to another and Apollyon proves that he’s as sinful as he looks. His sensual and hungry touch brings Serenity back to life, freeing her from the hurt of being betrayed and reigniting her passion, but she can’t ignore her growing fear. Lost in their moment together, Apollyon realises that there is a reason he heard her call—he’s in love with her.

But will Serenity see past the wings and believe that Apollyon returns her feelings and won’t hurt her? When her ex-boyfriend asks her to forgive him and be with him again, will she take the easy route or will she find the courage to fly away with her dark angel?

Dark, passionate and erotic, Her Dark Angel is a tale of intense desire and deepest forbidden love guaranteed to get your heart racing.

                                                   My Review:
Felicity writes Angels very sexy. With the steamy sex scenes this book is for adults and those scenes are HOT!!!!

Apollyon is the angel of death who has been trapped in Hell for millennia watching the bottomless pit waiting for his master’s call. When it finally comes what he gets is not his master but a beautiful woman.

Serenity is heart broken and asks for revenge on her cheating ex. What she gets surprises both her and Apollyon. He tells her she summoned him with her spell and he has to obey her.

While exacting revenge on her ex-boyfriend both start to have feeling for one another. But the question is can a dark angel and human woman find love with each other?

Although a short story. The world Felicity has written pulled me in and didn’t let go. Get ready for a page turning ride filled with passion, hot sex, and a forbidden love. I can not wait to read more of Felicity’s writing. 5/5 Bloody Fangs

Eternal Breath of Darkness by Candice Stauffer

                                                        Synopsis:
Will Caylee’s salvation come from the solitude of the cold, dark grave or from the the sinful delights of surrendering her body and soul to the seduction of a wickedly sexy, dark and dangerous powerful immortal?

From the beginning of time, Haden’s kind has to stop the deadliest forces of darkness from destroying mankind. He has never feared defeat until now. He would sacrifice anyting, even his life to protect Caylee. But despite possessing the dragon’s fierce nature and power, there’s little hope he’ll save her from a lust-crazed vampire that a rogue demon is aiding. Instead of completing the ancient ritual that’ll give his eternal breath to her and bind their souls together for eternity, will Haden be forced to kill Caylee to prevent her from suffering a never-ending thirst for blood?

                                                      My Review:
I loved this book so much. I was hooked from the start and loved the ride Candice took me on while reading. This book is for adults as the sex scenes are HOT!!! And the lead male Haden is even HOTTER!!!

I love the spin Candice puts in this book with the demons. She has them as savers of our world instead of wanting to destroy it and everyone in their path. The characters are flawed but that is what makes them perfect. I was drawn into Caylee and Haden’s world and at times I found myself wanting to yell at Caylee for being so stubborn with her feelings for Haden. But as I read more I understood where it comes from. As we learn more about her life I found myself crying from the pain she suffered. But when she let herself open up to Haden and the love she felt for him I was left breathless from it.

I feel in love with Haden from the start. He is one of those characters that you just connect with. You can feel his love for Caylee just burning from the pages. But he is defiantly not someone you want to make mad as he is a dragon demon and you could feel his temper come across in Candice’s writing.

I love the side characters just as much and can not wait for their stories to be told. We get just enough about them that leaves you wanting more of this amazing world Candice has written. I highly recommend this new series from Candice Stauffer. She is a Must watch author. 5/5 Bloody Fangs
